Chef Chen’s impressive pedigree includes leading Team Canada to a top-10 finish at the Bocuse d’Or gastronomic competition in France, winning the gold medal at the Canadian Culinary Championships, and being the first challenger to beat an iron chef on the Food Network Canada’s Iron Chef TV series. His Vancouver restaurant, Boulevard, was named #9 of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants and is also on the Michelin recommended list.

Start your Saturday with a series of engaging and enjoyable food and beverage seminars:

  • Big Red: Explore the powerhouse regions of red wine from around the globe.
  • All About Oysters: Delve into the world of oysters and their culinary significance.

After these enlightening sessions, Chef Alex Chen will captivate you with a cooking demonstration featuring the Pacific Ocean Geoduck Clam, a true delicacy. Following the demo, enjoy a fall-themed lunch buffet prepared by Chef Jeff McInnis and his team. The festivities continue with the 1st Annual Chowder Cup, presented by Taste of Nova Scotia and Fox Harb’r. The day culminates in an exquisite Gala Dinner, where Chef Chen will present a 5-course tasting menu. This evening will feature live cooking and tableside presentations, providing a unique and interactive dining experience. Chef Chen will introduce each dish, sharing his inspiration and philosophy.
